BEND MEMORIAL CLINIC WESTSIDE CLINIC AWARDED LEED GREEN BUILDING CERTIFICATION

January 29, 2008 - The Bend Memorial Clinic Westside Primary Care Clinic Building, owned by JCIP-Reed Market, LLC has been awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). This is the first LEED Certified Building in Bend, OR.

JCIP-Reed Market, LLC is to be commended for achieving LEED Certification. This facility is one that the Central Oregon community can be proud of”, said Rick Fedrizzi, President, CEO, and Founding Chairman of the US Green Building Council. “The Westside Primary Care Clinic will be a showcase for high performance, energy
efficiency, environmental health, and an inspiration for others.”

LEED Certification of the Westside Primary Care Clinic was based on a number of green design and construction features that positively impact the project itself and the broader community. These features include but are not limited to the:

• Implementation of a Construction Air Quality Plan.
• Usage of low emitting materials to reduce the
quantity of indoor air contaminates.
• Introduction of sunlight and views into the
occupied areas of the building.
• Installation of water efficient landscaping.
• Installation of efficient water fixtures to maximize
water efficiency within the building to reduce the
burden on municipal water supply and wastewater
systems.

The Westside Primary Care Clinic was designed by GGL Architecture, LLC and constructed by RH Construction. The LEED Certification process and development of the building was managed by Investment Property Development, LLC, a commercial development company that focuses primarily on office buildings, medical facilities and build-to-suits in Central Oregon.
