February 9, 2007 GGL Architecture, LLC of Bend is currently designing Jefferson Square, a new retail center in Madras, Oregon. The location, along Highway 97 in the south end of Madras, boasts beautiful views of Mt. Jefferson and other Cascade mountains. The project includes a 27,000SF main retail center with a 6,000SF second-story office building, a 4,000SF financial center, and a 3,000SF restaurant. Plans include sustainable materials of CMU block, concrete stucco and steel. It's signature feature, a three-story clock tower, will light up at night and change color season-to-season. The GGL project team includes Mike Gorman, Jim Landin, Elisa Pittner, James Taylor and Alan Brandt. Engineering services are being provided by R&W Engineering, Inc. for mechanical; Equilibrium Engineers, LLC for structural; and Hickman, Williams & Associates, Inc. for civil. The project is scheduled for completion by January 2008. |
